About
Correctional Industries Consultative Council of NSW
The position of Community Representative has become vacant and expressions of interest are now sought from interested members of the community for appointment to the position. It is expected that the representative will have a commitment to CSI philosophy and an extensive understanding of the impact, if any, of market decisions made by CSI.
The role of the Correctional Industries Consultative Council is to provide confidence to the community at large that the operations of Corrective Services Industries (CSI) do not unreasonably impact other Australian businesses.
This is achieved by monitoring and reporting on the business development and operation of CSI, including the maintenance of effective grievance handling mechanisms.
The CICC comprises representatives of employer associations, Unions NSW, the community and Corrective Services NSW. To balance the council and make it more representative of the community, a person is sought for the Community Representative role.
Period of Appointment: Term of 3 years, not exceeding 10 years.
Renumeration: Sitting Fee $412 full day or $206 half day
