The HPCA is establishing an Aboriginal Cultural Safety Advisory Group to guide implementation of our joint NSW health professional Councils and HPCA Aboriginal Cultural Safety Strategy (https://www.hpca.nsw.gov.au/cultural-safety)
The Strategy aims to improve the experiences of Aboriginal people who interact with the NSW healthcare and regulatory system.
Eligibility
We are seeking membership for the Advisory Group from:
- Aboriginal community members, Custodians, and Elders
- Staff of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations
- Individuals who have worked in Aboriginal advocacy
- The NSW health professional Councils
- Aboriginal people who work within the health sector
- Aboriginal health worker and practitioner representative bodies
- NSW Ministry of Health - Centre for Aboriginal Health; and
- NSW Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council (AH&MRC).

Term of appointment
Members are appointed for a term of up to 18 months. The terms will commence April 2025.
